The boys played a good first game and showed much potential early in the season. Coach Leon has done a nice job with training leading up to this game, getting the boys conditioned with an emphasis on “ball possession” and “always moving”. The Parents did a good job being positive and holding back from coaching their boys from the sidelines.
We had a fun filled soccer weekend with Christian’s premier team playing up in Saginaw for their first games together. Christian did extremely well at all of his games but unfortunately I could only make it to the game on Sunday. On Saturday he ended up showing his teammates that he could be a leader. From what I what I saw on the field Sunday morning, at 8:00AM, he has improved his game both physically and mentally since the spring season. He was the only person on his team that didn’t have a sub come in for his position. (more…)
So I’m working today on coming up with a social marketing plan I can use for this season’s exclusive sponsorship of U of M athletics. Summitplace KIA, whom I take care of blogging and all social activities, needs to come up with some kind of plan to capitalize on the massive exposure we are going to get from this venture. I ‘m sure that there are literally hundreds of “things” we can do to attract and retain a small crowd at every event, however I think that our best effort should be put into getting more people to follow us on twitter and facebook.
